We have a team of experienced trainers onsite to help you through every stage of your training. Our coaches hold qualifications in personal training, fitness, weightlifting, gymnastics and first aid. Always ready to motivate and offer advice, our team will motivate and train you to get in the greatest shape of your life!

Brock Martin

Education: ASCA L1, CrossFit Level 1, PSE Art of Breath certification, Burgener Strength Olympic Weightlifting L1 & L2, Anatomy Trains in training, The Gymnastics Course L1, Chris Hinshaws Aerobic Capacity & CrossFit Kids.

Brock is the Founder of Crystal Strength & Conditioning, He has 5 years experience coaching in Strength & Conditioning for Multiple different domains. He brings a lot of enthusiasm as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Brock enjoys working with individuals on their particular athletic goals and will do everything he can to assist in achieving these goals. Brock believes that Strength & Conditioning principles can be applied to any individuals training program and encourages members & Individuals to tune in to their own goals in order to achieve success.

Currently, Brock is working 1-1, with multiple individuals with completely different goals at opposite ends of the spectrum including – Weightlifting, AFL & Endurance Training (for Adventure Sports/Hiking and Triathlon).

Brock also works with certain individuals helping them to their highest level of functionality whether it be from work and sporting injury or traumatic accidents.

Darren Nankivell

Head Coach / Member Services

Darren is a Broken Hill local of 23 years, he played a lot of AFL and Cricket growing up and has now found love in soccer and Strength & Conditioning. Darren is the head coach at Crystal Strength & Conditioning where his main role lies with running our group training classes, as well as training clients 1-1.

Darren is a Broken Hill local of 23 years, he played a lot of AFL and Cricket growing up and has now found love in soccer and Strength & Conditioning. He has been training on and off for the past 5 years, through bodybuilding but could never get into a consistent routine. But since joining Crystal Strength & Conditioning he loves training more than ever and is seeing more progress in the past year than the previous 4!

Darren is the head coach at Crystal Strength & Conditioning where his main role lies with running our group training classes, as well as training clients 1-1.

Darren works with clients from all walks of life, from clients preparing for Physical Tests for the military to elderly clients wanting to acquire a higher level of functionality.

Saraiha

Saraiha Grew up in the Southern Highlands South of Sydney, Saraiha became a coach because she genuinely enjoys helping people. It is reflected in her choice of professions as a First Responder, the journey and the experience is always rewarding.

Saraiha Grew up in the Southern Highlands South of Sydney, Saraiha became a coach because she genuinely enjoys helping people. It is reflected in her choice of professions as a First Responder, the journey and the experience is always rewarding.

As a coach, her favorite things to see are an athlete’s drive, will power and witnessing the exact moment they prove to themselves that they CAN do it.

She takes pride in her athletes’ successes and feels their failures, Saraiha believes her job as a coach is to help athletes understand the value of failure and teach them how to learn from it.

At School Saraiha thrived in cross country, swimming and athletic carnivals. During high school she lost her desire to apply herself to Sports and Training.

At 21 she started back with training cardio boxing, She then spent 3 years at a CrossFit Gym, training quite extensively and obtaining her Coaching qualifications and completing Coach development courses.

Saraiha has been with Crystal Strength & Conditioning for 4 Years, as a strong member of the Community & a staple part of the Coaching and operations of the gym.

Saraiha has also attended the running lab workshop with Tim Bransdon, basics of WIMHOF method breathing & cold exposure & the 98gym Foundations seminar.

Saraiha aspires to be a coach that is capable, knowledgeable, trustworthy, genuine, empathetic and understanding, she aims to lead by example by trusting the program, upskilling, liasing with other coaches, listening to her athletes and keeping an open mind.

Thomas Rowe

Growing up in country South Australia, Tom has always held an active lifestyle playing all different sports from an early age whilst predominantly focusing on AFL.

Growing up in country South Australia, Tom has always held an active lifestyle playing all different sports from an early age whilst predominantly focusing on AFL.

Tom gained a passion for strength and conditioning while at University when he picked up CrossFit and after training consistently for 2-3 years and participating in local competitions decided to become a qualified coach by acquiring his Level 1 CrossFit certificate.

Tom now appreciates the structure and benefits of following a quality strength & conditioning program to improve his performance on the field and in any arduous tasks life may throw at him.

The positive effects of functional training and movement is something that Tom loves passing onto others through his energetic and motivating coaching style. Tom thoroughly enjoys coaching people that are wanting to challenge themselves mentally and physically and who enjoy being part of a community that encourages and lifts each other up.
